Marketing Director

Zipie is looking for a game-changing marketing director who can grow young talent, inspire the entire team, foster a healthy work culture and inject innovative thinking into every project.

Zipie’s marketing director’s official title is activation director and is responsible for the overall guidance and supervision of the agency’s marketing strategies and digital and creative product. The activation director leads the creative and digital teams and communicates with the administrative director and the agency as a whole. The activation director is responsible for taking strategic marketing plans and interpreting them into big ideas and manages the overall digital and creative direction of Zipie and our clients, playing the pivotal role in driving the direction and measurement of projects, concepts and business objectives.

The activation director will:

  • Deliver on the agency’s vision of transparency, accountability, excellence and service
  • Work directly with the Zipie team and our clients to identify, create and maintain digital marketing campaigns that deliver extraordinary results
  • Guide the agency’s creative and digital output to produce award – winning products from concept and strategy through completion
  • Insure on-time delivery of agency creative and digital output
  • Build and maintain stellar working relationships with clients, agency leadership and cross-functional agency teams
  • Plan, create and execute marketing strategies
  • Oversees digital and creative solutions and presents those to stakeholders for internal approval in kickoff and monthly client strategy meetings
  • Oversee and work with teams to develop a wide range of outstanding creative concepts and ideas to ensure the creative execution supports brand strategy for all project types.

 Qualifications:

  • A positive attitude, curiosity and a passion for growth
  • 5 years of paid, professional industry experience in a well-established, digital and creative role with a proven track record of agency success
  • 2 years in leadership role
  • 2 years Experience with HubSpot
  • Bachelor’s degree in advertising, marketing, graphic design, communication or equivalent education or experience
  • Knowledge in key areas of digital marketing (SEO, SEM, PPC, social media, content marketing, inbound marketing, email marketing, programmatic and performance marketing)
  • Knowledge of marketing, all forms of advertising and strategy, especially with digital experiences, with proven conceptual and design abilities
  • Agency experience working across all channels
  • Understand the key measurement tools available for digital marketing
  • Experience building and optimizing digital campaigns
  • The ability to make complex and acronym-heavy concepts approachable and understandable for clients and coworkers
  • Self-motivated work style with strong adherence to deadlines and the ability to work well under pressure
  • Strong portfolio highlighting relevant/category experience
  • Solid verbal communication skills, with experience presenting to all levels of clients
  • Experience working with large teams in client-facing role
  • Excellent written and presentation skills
  • Ability to gracefully handle multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
  • Bonus Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Adobe Experience Cloud or similar preferred
