Business Development Manager

The Business Development Manager is accountable for identifying and delivering profitable new business through the identification of the prospective client’s marketing spend and the development of proposals that align with the client’s focus and business needs.  The Business Development Manager will collaborate and work closely with all stakeholders within the business to ensure successful implementations are in place with new clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Generate new business by leveraging relationships, networking and prospecting
  • Drive the sales process: targeting prospects, identifying client needs and provide compelling proposals that add incremental value to clients’ business, negotiating and closing those opportunities with speed and efficiency.
  • Work with the Account Director to develop a prospecting targeting plan that aligns with the sales forecast
  • Increase cycle time of the sales process by utilizing tools to drive greater close rates.
  • Deliver monthly reporting including prospecting results and financial forecasts to the Account Director

Job Competencies:

  • At least three years of agency industry knowledge and experience
  • Proven track record in New Business Development. Consistent record of lead generation and delivering incremental sales results.
  • Strategic direction and leadership
    • Extensive knowledge of our business, industry and competitive landscape
    • Ability to reach and relate to all levels within a prospective client organization.
    • Proven track record of working independently to hit targeted goals.
  • Effective Communication and Presentation skills
    • Delivers clear, concise well written and oral communication. Tailors the style and content of communication to gain maximum impact.
  • Team development and great coach
    • Works collaboratively with other team members throughout the organization to drive results
